Glyndebourne is seeking an experienced Press Officer to join its Communications team on a fixed-term, part-time contract for the upcoming Festival season, running from March to August 2024. The role is pivotal in securing and delivering quality media coverage across national, international, and consumer outlets, encompassing both print and digital media during Glyndebourne’s flagship summer operaseason.The successful candidate will report to the Senior Press Manager and will be integral to the planning, implementation, and delivery of creative
PR
campaigns. This position demands strong organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively across the company. Applicants must have proven experience in press and
PR
campaigns, a proactive and enthusiastic approach, and an excellent knowledge of the
UK
media landscape. A background in the arts and a good working knowledge of classical music and opera are highlydesirable.Key responsibilities include managing media enquiries, allocating press tickets, engaging with journalists and influencers, preparing press materials, and supporting press events. The role requires excellent writing skills, creativity in content and story creation, and the ability to work outside standard hours during the festivalperiod.No deadline specified.
