Job Role: Press Brake Draughtsman / Cutting operative
Location: Sheffield, S9
Shift: Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm
Salary: �31000+ DOE

Metalis is working in partnership with a well-established manufacturing company in Sheffield who due to continuous growth are looking to hire a skilled Press Brake Draughtsman/Cutting Operative. Our client are open to levels of experience including graduates with CNC CAD Experience. They hire largely on attitude and a willingness to learn.

Job Duties:

• Programming CNC 3D waterjet, flame cutting, and press brake machines
• Support and problem solve customer queries with the sales team
• Effective time management and proactive organisational skills
• Ensure production runs efficiently through nesting and time planning
• Programming Flame cutting machinery
• Programming Bystronic Press Brake Operations
• Programming WJS 3D Waterjet Machinery
• Efficient part nesting on all sheet sizes for maximum Yield
• Supporting sales staff with order confirmations and feedback
• Management of job orders and process scheduling
• Identifying possible production improvements and increasing process efficiencies

Job Requirements:

• CAD Experience essential (SolidWorks preferred)
• Ability to read technical drawings essential
• Experience with manufacturer specific Bystronic, Trumpf and Waterjet Sweden software preferred
• A willingness to learn new skills is required as full training will be given to suitable candidates. We hire largely on attitude.
