Premises OfficerLewisham, London, UKCirca 34,000 per annumEmployment Type: Full-timeWorking Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PMAbout the Role: We are looking for a diligent and reliable Premises Officer to join our team in Lewisham. The successful candidate will be responsible for the security, maintenance, and general upkeep of our centres, ensuring they are safe and welcoming environments for all users.Key Responsibilities:Security and Access: Responsible for holding and securing premises keys, opening and closing centres, and ensuring effective locking up and opening procedures. Provide access to internal areas for scheduled contractors and centre users.Portering and Maintenance: Perform general maintenance and minor repairs, including monitoring, identifying, and reporting premises-related issues through the FM helpdesk.Daily Centre Tasks: Action daily centre-related tasks, including room setups, resource requests, water flushing, and alarm testing.Mail and Deliveries: Handle incoming mail, parcels, and other deliveries, ensuring secure storage and compliance with GDPR.Customer Service: Deliver excellent customer service to visitors, centre users, colleagues, and staff, in line with the Premises and Facilities service offer.Repairs and Maintenance Checks: Conduct regular maintenance checks and minor repairs on buildings, fixtures, fittings, and furniture. Update records accordingly.Liaison: Work with the premises team leader, facilities manager, and corporate FM regulatory team regarding repairs and maintenance, supervising contractors to ensure satisfactory completion of repairs.Heating and Ventilation: Ensure heating and ventilation systems are working efficiently and conduct daily inspections of boiler equipment as required.General Duties: Take delivery of stores and materials, transport them as needed, and maintain clean and tidy internal and external grounds. Control parking in Centre car parks.Requirements:Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a facilities management or maintenance environment.Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.Knowledge of health and safety regulations and basic maintenance skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.How to Apply: If you are a proactive and dedicated individual looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you.
