Premises Manager required for a Secondary School in Newham
Position: Premises Manager
Location: Secondary School, Newham
Hours: Full Time, 36 hours per week
Salary: £53,000 - £58,000 per annum
Contract Type: Temp to Perm
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Premises Manager to join our dedicated team at a leading secondary school in Newham. This is a full-time position, working 36 hours per week on a temp to perm basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the school’s facilities are maintained to the highest standards, providing a safe and welcoming environment for our students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the maintenance, security, and cleanliness of the school premises.
* Manage site staff and contractors, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.
* Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance schedule.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Manage budgets related to premises management.
* Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits.
* Respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues.
Requirements:
* Level 5 qualification in Estates Management or evidence of relevant continuous professional development.
* NEBOSH Certificate is essential.
* Extensive experience in health and safety management.
* Proven track record in premises management, preferably within an educational setting.
* Strong leadership and organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
