We are a busy GP practice in the charming town of Kenilworthwith a patient list size of approx. 16000 patients and growing. RatedOutstanding by CQC, Accredited by Healthwatch, RCGP research ready, NHSEMilitary Veterans practice, highly rated on NHS choices and the Annual PatientGP survey.Main duties of the jobThe practice manager is responsible for(this list is not exhaustive):a.Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring staff achieve their primary responsibilitiesb.Functional management of all clinical and administrative staffc.Direct line management of the following staff: Deputy practice manager, administration manager, reception manager, senior administrator, senior receptionist, practice nurse manager and salaried GPs.d.Managing the recruitment and retention of staff; develop, implement and embed an effective succession plan.e.Establishing, reviewing and regularly updating job descriptions and person specifications; ensuring all staff are legally and gainfully employed.f.Developing, implementing and embedding an effective staff appraisal processg.Implementing effective systems for the resolution of disciplinary and grievance issuesh.Maintaining an effective overview of and ensuring compliance with HR legislationi.Ensuring all staff have the appropriate level of training to enable them to carry out their individual roles and responsibilities effectivelyj.Managing the financial elements of the practice, including budgets, bank accounts, accounting systems, petty cash, etc. seeking to maximise income and reduce expenditure in conjunction with the partnersAbout usWe are maximum achievers in the Quality Outcomes Framework and PCN DES contracts with a strong innovative background. We are looking to recruit an experienced GP Practice Manager working full time with a view to partnership. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience as a manager within an NHS GP practice with evidence of HR, Finance, Governance and Leadership responsibilities.We are a friendly and supportive GP training practice of 3 Clinical Partners, a Deputy and Operations Manager, 7 GPs, 6 Practice Nurses, 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioner, 2 Paramedic practitioners, 2 Health Care Assistants in addition to over 20 PCN employed allied health professionals, a multi-skilled admin and reception team that offer a full range of support. We use the EMIS web clinical system along with Docman, ERS, Lexacom and Accurx fully integrated. We are a fully established training practice with 2 trainers. We meet up regularly each morning and have practice meetings and educational sessions. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent care to our local population and valuing each member of our team.Job responsibilitiesTo manage and coordinate all aspects of practice functionality,motivating and managing staff, optimising efficiency and financial performance,ensuring the practice achieves its long-term strategic objectives in a safe andeffective working environment.Through innovative ways of working, lead the team in promotingED&I, quality and continuous improvement, confidentiality,collaborative working, service delivery, learning and development and ensurethe practice complies with all NHSE and CQC regulations.Person SpecificationQualificationsEducated to degree level in healthcare or businessExperienceNHS/primary care general practice experienceExperience of working with the general publicExperience of managing accounting procedures including budget and cash flow forecastingExperience of working in a healthcare settingExperience of managing large multidisciplinary teamsExperience of performance management including appraisal writing, staff development and disciplinary proceduresExperience of successfully developing and implementing projectsExperience of workforce planning, forecasting and developmentDisclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.Depending on experienceCompetitive salary
