Community Nursing Practice Development Nurse - Band 7 - Tudor Lodge Our ambition is to make working in Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust an attractive career opportunity for clinical staff from Health Care Assistant through to Advanced Practitioner. In order to help achieve this ambition we are looking for Practice Development Nurse to join the CLCH Academy to promote and facilitate practice development within our community nursing teams. As a PDN you will join the CLCH Academy Team where you will be supported with your development whether this is at undergraduate or post graduate level. So if you are an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced community nurse and want to develop your teaching, supervising and assessment skills within a supportive team then this could be the opportunity for you.Main duties of the jobThe Practice Development Nurse will work within their designated service working closely with the Academy team and the Locality Manager to plan, implement and evaluate the development of staff. They will work with designated teams to coordinate and embed learning and development ensuring that staff are competent and capable to undertake their roles. The Practice Development Nurse will work with the Academy team and the Locality Manager to identify learning needs, plan and implement any training required and continuously evaluate staff competence ensuring that development is aligned to and informs local and national priorities. The post holder will be responsible for:
Promoting high standards of care through the demonstration of clinical expertise Facilitating the creation of a positive learning environment in the workplace where staff development is encouraged and supported Facilitating the induction, education and continuing professional development for all levels of registered and non-registered nursing staff within the Nursing Teams Working alongside staff in individual teams undertaking a key role in practice development Translating Academy priorities such as changes in nursing standards, new clinical roles such as Apprenticeships into their designated service

To establish and maintain productive working relationships and communications with key stakeholders To contribute to relevant internal and external committees and forums, and represent the Academy team or designated service as required To provide progress reports aligned to measurable project deliverables to the Academy team, Locality Manager, divisional staff, and other key stakeholders
