You will foster and develop a culture that supports continuous learning and development, whilst providing a range of clinical teaching and learning opportunities. You will act as a role model for clinical staff, and as a registered nurse, you will support the senior leadership team to enable, operational and patient focused expertise within Children's Services, alongside proven and compassionate leadership. You will promote and work within a culture of clinical innovation and quality improvement that supports Children, Young People and their families to remain at home.Main duties of the jobThis role will sit within the Leadership and Practice Development Team in the Sussex Wide Children's and Young Peoples Community Nursing Service. The role contributes to the improvement of patient care through the development of standards to ensure the smooth operational delivery of the service. You will work across professional and clinical disciplines, aligning quality standards and clinical governance strategies with operational performance;Work closely with the Head of CYP Specialist and Community Nursing and Matrons to support professional recommendations in relation to service redesign and new ways of working. Provide support and advice to service areas with regard to the education and learning implications for service development.Contribute to the improvement of patient care and patient safety by effectively disseminating and integrating evidence based guidance into clinical practice. Work as an innovator capable of facilitating changes in clinical practice and pioneering new frameworks to support practice and to increase the skills and confidence of registered and unregistered practitioners.Act as a change agent, using skills that will motivate and reassure staff through negotiation and training to facilitate change processes.
