Practice and Events Coordinator

A leading architectural practice, based in West London, specialising in the prime and super prime residential sector, has a vacancy for a Practice and Events Coordinator.  This role comprises of a variety of duties spanning office administration and finance, providing an interesting and broad workload.
You will be responsible for general reception duties, providing a warm welcome to all visitors as well as running the practice’s switchboard in a polite and professional manner.  In addition, you will take ownership for managing the meeting rooms, ensuring they are kept neat and tidy as well as setting these up as appropriate for meetings.  This could include organising catering and refreshments.  You will manage inbound and outbound post and deliveries as well as stationary and consumables stock levels, ensuring the practice does not run out of essential supplies.  You are encouraged to develop a relationship with suppliers.  Finance also forms a part of this role, and you will assist with purchase ledger activities and petty cash.  In addition, you will also assist in filing of contracts and project documentation.
Events and communications are other important elements of this role.  You will be responsible for coordinating events for the practice.  These could be in house CPDs, Director talks or practice events.  You will become the main point of contact for employees and external contacts with respect to events and you will also be responsible for effectively communicating details of events as well as encouraging all employees to feel involved and motivated to attend.
Due to the nature of this role, you will be based in the office five days per week.
