Practice Accountant

Practice Accountant | Stevenage | This is a hybrid working role  | Full or part-time | You will earn a competitive salary depending on experience and skill set

Our client is a firm of qualified Chartered Management Accountants based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire serving clients across the UK. They are a small and friendly practice, who work in a collegial manner and help their staff to develop their technical and people skills along the way.

In this role, you will develop to the point of looking after your own portfolio of clients and be rewarded for bringing in business.

Are you the right person for the job?

• 2-3 years’ experience of working in an accountancy practice
• A good academic record (A levels or degree)
• Ideally, you will be working towards an accounting qualification
• Enjoy working with clients to solve their problems
• Demonstrate an affinity for new technology (software)
• A level of personal confidence to be able to deal with clients from all walks of life
• The successful candidate will need to live within 10 miles of Stevenage

What will your role look like?

This role will involve all aspects of life in practice including:

• Bookkeeping (Xero, QuickBooks Online, Sage 50 etc)
• VAT
• PAYE
• Year-end accounts
• Helping clients out with their business and tax issues
