Job DescriptionSalary: £27,500 to £32,000 (dependent on experience) pro-rata Hours: Monday to Friday 8-hour day, core hours 9am to 3pm. We are now looking for a PR, Marketing & Communications Lead to join our team and help us amplify our message and mission. Role OverviewAs the PR, Marketing & Communications Lead at EqualEngineers, you will be responsible for devising and executing a comprehensive strategy that promotes our brand, mission, and services. Your work will be critical in enhancing our visibility, engaging with diverse audiences, and fostering a culture of inclusion within the engineering community. Key ResponsibilitiesStrategically Develop and Execute Campaigns: Directly craft and implement a comprehensive PR, marketing, and communications strategy that embodies EqualEngineers’ mission and objectives. Take hands-on action to bring these campaigns to life, from initial concept through to execution and evaluation. Content Creation: Personally create engaging, high-quality content for various platforms, including our website, social media channels, and newsletters. Ensure content promotes diversity and inclusion within engineering, resonating with a broad audience and stimulating engagement. Social Media Management: Actively manage and grow our social media presence. Create and post regular updates, engage with our community, and monitor social media trends to keep our content relevant and impactful. Public Relations Initiatives: Spearhead PR efforts to secure positive media coverage. Write press releases, pitch stories to media outlets, and cultivate relationships with journalists and influencers within the engineering and diversity sectors. Marketing Materials Production: Design and produce a range of marketing materials, such as brochures, press releases, and annual reports. Ensure all materials are in line with our brand identity and message. Event Organisation and Promotion: Organise and promote events that highlight the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in engineering. Handle all aspects of event planning, from conceptualisation to execution, ensuring events are successful and align with our goals. Strategy Evaluation and Adaptation: Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of our marketing and communication efforts. Use insights from data to refine strategies, making tactical adjustments to enhance reach and impact. Brand Representation: Act as a key spokesperson and ambassador for EqualEngineers, representing our brand at industry events, conferences, and forums. Engage with stakeholders, partners, and the public to spread our message and build our network. Collaborative Engagement: While the role is hands-on, collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners to ensure a unified approach to all marketing and communications efforts. Share insights and strategies to align efforts across the board. Ideal Candidate ProfileProven experience in PR, marketing, or communications, preferably within a similar sector. A strong passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a desire to make a positive impact through the application of engineering. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft messages that resonate with diverse audiences. Creative thinker with strong analytical skills to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and PR strategies. Proficient in social media management and digital marketing tools. Experience in event planning and management. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines. A team player with a collaborative approach and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels. QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field. Relevant qualifications or equivalent professional experience in marketing, PR, or communications. Experience in or knowledge of the engineering sector is highly advantageous.
