PR and Marketing LeadOur charity is looking for a dynamic and collaborative PR and Marketing Lead to help us take forward our strategic programme.Our goal is to train 5% of the population of Hampshire in life-saving skills by the end of 2030 - 75,000 people in total. We have so far trained over 30,000 over the last 20 years.The role of the PR and Marketing Lead is to work with our training team, fundraising lead and secretary to ensure there is ongoing recognition and publicity for the work we are doing.This will include writing articles for local magazines, community papers and websites, as well as issuing a periodic newsletter so that our community of trainees are able to get further updates on our work and book on refresher training.The volunteer will also look to provide regular updates via our Facebook page and also find opportunities for wider engagement through additional media channels, both social and traditional (radio, newspapers, etc.)It would be expected that the successful volunteer would join our in-person quarterly general meeting (normally 90 mins). Otherwise, the role can be done virtually.Additionally, there is an option for the person in this role to become a Trustee of the charity.SkillsThe ideal person would be someone with a Marketing and Communications background, but we would be interested in hearing from anyone with strong communication and interpersonal skills who would be available to provide a couple of hours a week to support these activities.This opportunity can be carried out whilst working from home.
