PR and External Affairs Manager

Position type: Full time / PermanentAberdein Considine are looking for a PR and External Affairs Manager to join their Marketing team. The role will involve being responsible for the engagement and management of all press relations and public affairs, ensuring high quality coverage of the brand. The successful candidate will work with colleagues and agencies to deliver coherent and powerful messages which align with the firm’s strategy and goals. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement comprehensive external communication and engagement strategies that align with the firm’s goals and valuesBuild and maintain relationships with key media outlets, journalists and industry influencers to secure positive coverageAct as a spokesperson for the firm, handling media enquiries and supporting senior colleagues with media trainingCollaborate with Partners and teams across the business, to identify and produce topical and timely contentDevelop, manage, and maintain the PR and external communications planCreate and distribute compelling press releases, articles and other relevant communicationsMonitor media coverage and industry developments to identify key themes and potential risks or opportunitiesManage crisis communications and reputation management initiatives effectively, should the need ariseManage the day-to-day relationship with our PR agency
