Powertrain Engineer

We are happy to present a special opportunity for a Systems Engineer to become a member of our development team Automotive Solutions. You will be in charge of safety-critical powertrain technologies in real-time for use in passenger cars and commercial vehicles.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Creating control strategies and algorithms (using Matlab Simulink/Stateflow) and generating code automatically for software intended for production


• Creating requirements for CAN communication and system diagnostics


• Creating validation tests for the vehicle and electrical test


• EGAS standard-compliant functional safety strategy development


• Gathering and evaluating client needs


• Supporting the vehicle and engine testing of the client hardware and system support

DESIRABLES

• Experience of developing any of the following:

o Fuel injection systems

o Engine control features

o OBD or powertrain diagnostics

• Understanding of sensors and actuators (analogue, digital, H-Bridge, CAN-based, SENT)


• Experience working for a Tier 1 supplier in the automotive industry


• Experience in a production intent auto-coding environment


• Experience testing on bench, HiL, or vehicle


• Experience with calibration and control
