Job title: Power Systems Senior Technical Advisor
Location: Glasgow
Start Date: ASAPEnd date: 31 December 2024
Hours per week: 40 - flexible Max Number of days: 5 Pay Rate per hour: £45 - £55 depending on experience
Job Description:
You will be responsible for delivering innovative and exciting projects from across the energy sector, either leading these projects, or providing valuable contributions alongside other subject-matter experts. By using your experience within the UK energy industry, you will provide our clients with commercial, technical and regulatory advice, across a range of different project types. You will be able to summarise your analysis and assessments into concise reports, as well as present findings to the client via meetings and workshops. You will oversee work from Engineers and Graduate Engineers from across the team in the delivery of projects, reviewing their work and providing appropriate guidance.
In addition to strong communication and leadership skills, key attributes include Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications and experience.
* Good knowledge of electrical codes and standards and regulatory/financial incentives for transmission and distribution network investment in GB
* Strong understanding and leadership of engineering projects through asset lifecycles.
* Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. You may also demonstrate a selection of the following desirable requirements
* Chartered Engineer through IET experience in regulatory and technical due diligence (vendor or buyer side) of transmission and distribution network assets
* Experience in the preparation or assessment of business plans for regulated utilities and/or innovation project developments
