My client is a multinational technical consultancy that helps to manage the full life cycle of renewable energy projects, from design, implementation, and construction. Providing expert engineering, technical, energy, and project management advisory services facilitating the transition to net zero. You will be joining the Power System Analysis team which models the electrical network in software to simulate operation. This position has become available due to continued and sustained growth within the business.
Responsibilities:

• Primary contact for DNOs, ICPs and TSO

• Knowledge of the UK Grid Code and specifically application process for generation projects

• Experience conducting details power system studies including load flow, short circuit analysis, fault ride-through, and EMT using industry-standard software solutions.

• Share knowledge and experience with the team to help develop the team's expertise.

• Understand, communicate, and analyse energy regulatory framework and keep up to date on changes and impacts on clients.

• Develop business relationships with companies and professionals that provide new opportunities for the business.

Requirements

• Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (e.g., Electrical or Mechanical engineering) or equivalent professional experience.

• Experience in, or willingness to learn client management and development of longstanding client relationships.

• Experience in, or willing to learn the financial management of projects, meeting strict timelines and budgets.

• Good working knowledge of the full lifecycle of the regulatory framework for connecting renewable projects to the grid for both Transmission and Distribution projects.

• Experience in the Offshore and Onshore renewable energy sector would be an advantage.
