As the company expands, I am seeking a junior level Power Electronics Engineer to step into a midweight position and join the team in London.I am looking for a skilled individual to level up their career and lead the design and development of the electronic systems for innovative portable home appliances. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient conversion of electrical power and seamless integration of electronic components, while meeting safety standards and performance requirements.Key Responsibilities as Power Electronics Engineer:Design and develop power electronics systems (AC 110 volt) for portable home appliances, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and performance specifications.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, firmware developers, and product designers to integrate electronic systems into appliance prototypes.Conduct simulations and analyses to optimise the efficiency and reliability of power conversion circuits.Select appropriate components and technologies for power electronics subsystems, considering factors such as cost, reliability, and manufacturability.Perform testing and validation of electronic systems to verify performance, reliability, and compliance with regulatory standards.Required Skills and Qualifications as Power Electronics Engineer:Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.Demonstrated experience in designing power electronics systems for consumer appliances would be ideal.Experience designing and analysing AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion circuits, particularly with 110 volt AC currents.Solid understanding of semiconductor devices, magnetics, and passive components commonly used in power electronics.Experience with basic programming and debugging of 32-bit microcontrollers (MCUs) for control and monitoring of electronic systems.Familiarity with simulation tools such as SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or PLECS for power electronics design.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Benefits for the Power Electronics EngineerStarting salary of 50,000Share optionsStandard annual leave plus bank holidaysFlexible working optionsJoin this exciting project as Power Electronics Engineer and be part of a dynamic team shaping the future of home appliances by reducing cost of energy, saving time on daily chores and .
