SEN Teacher - SEN School - September 2024 Start

Our specialist school is currently seeking to appoint a Post 16 SEN Teacher. With a September start date, this full-time, Long term position offers an exciting opportunity to work with young people with complex needs and autism.

We're seeking a passionate Post 16 SEN Teacher to teach and manage a class of students on the autistic spectrum in 6th Form.

At this school, they pride themselves on their innovative approach to education, with a focus on individual strengths and interests. As a Post 16 Class Teacher, you will lead vocational curriculum initiatives, guide students through pre-employment skills, and oversee work placements.

  • Post 16 SEN Teacher
  • Deliver a vocational curriculum to pupils with varying needs.
  • Develop and implement individualised goals and objectives for pupils based on their individual strengths and needs.

The Person - Post 16 SEN Teacher

  • Has Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with pupils with special educational needs, or a proven interest in teaching pupils with a wide range of learning difficulties.
  • Ability to differentiate curriculum delivery for pupils.
  • Demonstrable skill in implementing individualised goals and objectives to address the core features of SEN.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team as well as lead.
  • Excellent personal organisation, communication, and ICT skills
  • Proven record of good to outstanding practice

The successful Post 16 SEN Teacher will be subject to enhanced clearance through the Disclosure and Barring Service and employment will be subject to references.
