They will lead activities to identify, assess and manage opportunities and threats to portfolio outputs and requirements with expected performance targets in the pursuit of the required Portfolio outcomes (High Level Requirements). In consort with this they will lead the process and activities required to identify, track and realise portfolio benefits.Accountable to the Portfolio Risk Manager, the Portfolio Risk Lead will lead on the activities to identify, assess and manage opportunities and threats to portfolio outputs and requirements with expected performance targets in the pursuit of the required Portfolio outcomes (High Level Requirements). This role will be accountable for the day-to-day management of portfolio risk and benefits provide advice to the Portfolio Council on risk mitigation actions and manage all aspects of risk and benefits processes and reporting. The role is required to maintain and develop the supporting portfolio resources, processes, policies, and leadership to integrate the portfolio to support the various DBU’s and functions requirements, to meet the customer and business needs.We offer excellent development, a competitive salary and exceptional benefits. As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.What you will be doing:You will lead on the development and maintenance of portfolio risk register.You will co-ordinate input from each DBU, Programme and Functional area to the portfolio risk register maintaining a current and forecast assessment of portfolio risk
exposure.
You will work with the Portfolio Baseline controller to assess flow down portfolio reserves and develop options and recommendations for Portfolio Council decision making.You will lead on production and maintenance of the Portfolio Risk Management Plan.You will work with central risk team to understand the relationship between portfolio delivery risks and business risk. You will work with Contract and Performance Management team to provide periodic performance reports, responsible for providing narrative on risk part of the Portfolio performance report.You will work with Portfolio Investments Lead to assess threats and opportunities associated with 'warehouse' and 'Jetty' scope.You will deputise for Risk Manager as requiredWho we’re looking for:At Rolls-Royce we embrace agility, are bold, pursue collaboration and seek simplicity in everything we do. Provide information necessary to make management decisions to the key
stakeholders/customer
by ensuring the creation and management of an integrated set of risk registers/ plans / schedules, organizing and chairing risk review meetings and report areas where executive decisions need to be made.Ensure the implementation of company management processes is effective and efficient in addition to developing / implementing Project Management best practice in line with company management processes.Provision of basic guidance to others regarding the Project Management processes and the operation of the project management systems / tools / methods.A degree level or equivalent in business, project or risk management, or equivalent business experience including APMQ or IRM qualifications is desirable in addition to experience with data analytics and management information reporting.We are an equal opportunities employer. To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently already have this in place.
