We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to join our very busy team in Macclesfield on a full-time basis. You will also have significant involvement in assigning and reviewing draft accounts prepared by the trainee accountants within the team.ResponsibilitiesManaging a portfolio of clientsTracking job progress and billing targetsPreparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companiesPreparation of income tax computations and returns for individuals and partnershipsPreparation of corporation tax computations and returnsBuilding a positive working relationship with clients and the practiceEnsure compliance with all financial regulationsUse of computer software including IRIS, Sage, Xero and QuickBooksEnsuring work is completed to a high standard and on timeDealing with any client queries in a timely and efficient mannerAssisting colleagues and trainees within the team with development and technical adviceUndertake such other duties that are required commensurate with the roleRequirementsFully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with ideally 3 years post qualified experience in a practice environmentExceptional interpersonal skills and able to successfully communicate with people at all levels, both financial and non-financialConfidently able to offer recommendations and advice to our clients.Highly competent with outstanding commercial acumen and a solid grasp of business aims and objectivesDemonstrable experience and a proven track record in a similar roleA full UK driving licence is essentialBenefits and other36 days holiday inclusive of bank/public holidays and Christmas closureOption to buy/sell a maximum of 5 days holidayFlexible working (3 days office minimum)Employee assistance programme (which includes; Life support, Legal information, Bereavement support, Medical Information, CBT & Managerial Support).Life assurance cover (4 x annual salary)On-site parkingOption of salary sacrifice pension schemeEnhanced maternity/paternity/shared parental payPaid volunteer time and an annual charitable donation on your behalfLong service enhancements to employer pension contribution and holiday entitlementJob Type: Full-timeSalary: From £42,000 – £48,000 per year.
