Due to growth and an ever-expanding portfolio, they are looking to add junior resource by hiring a Portfolio Associate into their team.The function has a very broad mandate including monitoring, value enhancement, and post-deal add-ons of the portfolio. They work very closely with management teams and also at a fund level, ensuring the performance of the portfolio is in line with the firm's overall strategy and exit plans.The team is flat structured and reports into an experienced senior management hat has a wealth of experience and knowledge. The team has a collegiate feel and enjoys a good tenure.Ideal candidates will have at least a year's experience working in a Private Equity Transaction Services or Corporate Finance team.ResponsibilitiesWorking closely with portfolio company finance teams and deal executives on a monthly basisOnboarding new investee companies into the portfolioMaintaining and managing the portfolio monitoring systemProducing a monthly summary of portfolio company performance of, reporting trends and assessing the overall health of the portfolioProviding financial analysis and support to ad hoc value enhancement projectsReviewing and analysing the content of the quarterly portfolio reports of each investee company, prepared by the deal teamReviewing and analysing the content of investee companiesAssisting in fundraising data collation and validationPreparing quarterly investment valuations as part of fund reportingAssisting the marketing team to prepare investor reportsBackgroundDegree educatedStrong stakeholder management and inter-personal skillsCreative and commercial mindsetStrong MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills; financial modelling an advantage but not essentialThe successful candidate will be Big 4 or equivalent trained with an ACA or CIMA accounting qualification. Demonstrable experience in providing Transaction Services due diligence and/or Corporate Finance support is also requiredExperience from within a Private Equity audit team will be considered.Compensation is flexible for this mandate and there is hybrid working available.Please note that due to the expected volume of applications, we will only be able to respond to those candidates whose experience matches the requirements of our client.
