You will be working for a local charity in Glasgow.
Your new role
Providing Policy and External Affairs support to the Chief Executive and the organisation's leadership team.
Duties and responsibilities
Writing briefings on criminal justice topics and sharing with MSPs – quick turnaround
Arranging, attending and contributing to meeting with MSPs on a range of topics
Understanding political tactics
Advise on positions
Meet with SG officials
Raise issues with criminal justice officials and agencies regarding cases, mostly Support for Families Bereaved by Crime
What you'll need to succeed
Technical and/or organisational knowledge in policy development and external affairs.
Experience of provision of executive / policy development / external affairs support to a senior leader in a comparably complex organisation
Experience of successfully managing projects.
Excellent analytical/research skills and ability to summarise complex information effectively to aid decision-making
Experience of writing succinct copy
What you'll get in return

£17-£19 per hour
