The Policy and Project Officer at BallyCara fulfills a multifaceted role within the Service Excellence Team, focusing on policy analysis, project support, report writing, and data analytics.
The successful incumbent will:
offer expert policy advice to contributing to policy development initiatives.
support the EBD Stream to achieve organisational initiatives
play a critical role in:
Policy and analysis work
Maintaining our policy system and offering expert policy advice to Managers and the Executive, contributing to policy development initiatives
Data analysis
Conducting data cleansing and analysis to inform and enhance BallyCara's operations and projects. Internal research and report writing
Project support
contributing to activities aligned with BallyCara's strategic ambitions, and identifying process improvements to streamline project delivery and optimise resources.

Desired Skills and Experience
To be successful you will have:
Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to a completion of a degree in a relevant discipline.
Highly developed conceptual, analytical, research and problem-solving skills including the ability to evaluate and critically analyse complex issues.
Highly developed written communication skills, including the ability to prepare successful submissions and proposals to influence stakeholders or achieve strategic goals, and clear and concise reports and correspondence.
Demonstrated knowledge of the current aged care funding environment, national policies, and funding issues relating to grants including evidence of skills required to read and interpret large and complex policy documents.
Exemplary verbal and interpersonal communications skills including the ability to clearly negotiate, communicate, consult, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Evidence of well-developed digital literacy skills and a knowledge and understanding of relational databases including integration into a complex IT environment.
Demonstrated proactive and positive attitude, actively contributing to fostering a culture of excellence, responsiveness, and flexibility within the organisation.
It would be considered highly desirable to have:
• Experience working within a not-for-profit/aged care, wellness, or disability sector
• Experience/understanding of services for older people and working with older people
