Job Description
Our client are leading the way in energy delivery and are looking for an experienced PMO Manager, where you'll play a crucial role in overseeing our clients project management office activities. We're looking for someone with a strong IT background, ideally in cybersecurity, to lead our clients governance processes and ensure the successful delivery of programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage PMO activities, including governance, programme oversight, and documentation.
Utilize a strong IT background, ideally in cybersecurity, to enhance security measures and compliance standards across projects.
Ensure all individuals involved in programmes are at the appropriate stage of their respective projects, coordinating effectively to maintain progress and alignment with timelines.
Implement and maintain disciplined governance practices, including controls and procedures to ensure quality and mitigate risks.
Collate and catalogue data from various sources to support decision-making and strategic planning processes.
Facilitate communication and collaboration among key stakeholders, including directors and heads of programmes.
Provide leadership and support to the PMO team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Proven experience in PMO management within the utilities or related industry.
Strong background in IT, with a focus on cybersecurity preferred.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex programmes and projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
