PLC Software Engineer – North Yorkshire PLC Software Engineer – PLC / Industrial Controls – North Yorkshire – Permanent – £50-60k + 25 days holiday+++Highlights – work for an OEM that’s developing “first of their kind machines”, innovation driven, well-established department, international group+++Samuel Frank is recruiting for an OEM based in North Yorkshire as they’re looking for a PLC Software Engineer. The role of PLC Software Engineer will suit a software specialist with experience of writing PLC code from scratch, ideally for special purpose / bespoke machinery.Key aspects of the PLC Software Engineer role include –Provide a high level of skill in interpreting the customer’s and regulatory requirements to ensure software designs are aligned.Ensure that design quality is maintained throughout the projectCommunicate accurate project status to the Software Manager, internal and external customers and suppliersKnowledge of British and international standards relating to the design and installation of industrial automation systems as well as experience of conducting assessments and generating technical documents to support the compliance to the Machinery Directive and other British and international standards will stand you in good stead for this opportunity. Have a strong background in writing PLC software using either Siemens or Rockwell systems so you can successfully schedule works across a small team of PLC Software Engineers.The successful applicant will have experience of producing good quality Functional Design Specifications (FDS) and FAT documentation.Networking of common automation hardware including EtherNET/IP, ProfiNET, Profibus, ModbusYou must be eligible to work in the UK.This position will suit an innovator who is constantly looking for solutions that give maximum value.Machine safety knowledge e.g. BS EN ISO 13849The client is very well established and extremely well regarded/known in the area.Working week – 39 hours, role will preferably be office based, flexible/core hours systemThe client’s premises are commutable from the following locations Leeds, Selby, Wetherby, Harrogate, Ripon, York, Pontefract, Doncaster, Hull / East Yorkshire and Wakefield. Please apply today for an immediate response.Sign up here to hear about the hottest new job opportunities on the market that are specific to you.
