Source Solutions are working with a highly reputable and forward-thinking manufacturer in Portsmouth, operating cutting edge and complex automated machinery, to identify a PLC Programmer / Software Engineer, to be based in their Portsmouth facility.

The PLC Programmer will support the R&D function, working alongside a team of highly skilled colleagues in the development of the company’s robotic production process, getting involved in and developing knowledge of:

• Software/PLC programming and development


• Programming of vision equipment


• Involvement in machine design and build


• Integration of robotic systems into manufacturing

Ideal candidate experience:

• Previous experience of PLC Programming and Software Engineering


• Experienced with Ladder Logic, Structured Text and the use of function blocks


• General knowledge of good programming practices and computer architecture


• Ability to learn and adapt to new systems / programmes (the company use Mitsubishi primarily)
