We are working on behalf ofa global telecommunications business who are looking for Platform Tech Lead to join their Digital Network Platforms team.
Our client is the UKs fastest broadband network, the nations best-loved mobile brand and, one of the UK's biggest companies too.
As the Platform Tech Lead, youll spearhead an agile platform delivery team, leading and overseeing the development, delivery and continuous improvement of solutions used to support mobile and fixed infrastructure delivery.
You will drive the delivery of integrated OSS capabilities that underpin speed, quality and efficiency of our clients network infrastructure through digital products like automated design and workflow.
Youll be integral in transforming the way our client works to accelerate software delivery speed, improve quality and reducing cost using both agile software delivery and platform engineering best practice.
In close collaboration with the Digital Network Products team, you will deliver open and intuitive platforms to optimise developer experience enabling high value products.
Required Skills & Experience
Demonstrated expertise in Agile software development and system architecture within the Telco OSS domain, with preferred experience in Network GIS (Hexagon, IQ Geo) and workflow tooling (Appian, Apache Airflow).
Strong understanding of platform and product dynamics, including Platform Engineering and its relevance to OSS.
Extensive background in DevOps practices, encompassing test automation, CI/CD pipelines, source control, and fostering cultural change.
Solid knowledge of telecom industry standards, protocols, and technologies.
Proven leadership and collaboration skills.
Practical experience and deep knowledge of public, private, and hybrid cloud providers, technologies, and services, including containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), along with a thorough understanding of data and application frameworks on the cloud, especially GCP.
Strategic thinker with a focus on long-term planning and vision.
