Role Description

  • Perform routine plant tests and inspections as required, collecting, recording and collaborating data.
  • Be able to assist/implement emergency procedures and instructions calmly and effectively in dynamic situations.
  • Analyse process performance and collaborate data whilst logging all operational activity as required.
  • Monitor stocks of consumables and residues, ensuring correct system operation and safeguarding operational continuity.
  • Trim the plant so as to deliver optimum performance.
  • Undertake continuing personal development to enhance knowledge & skills relevant to the role.
  • Receive and respond to telephone calls in a courteous and concise manner.
  • Carry out other reasonable tasks and duties as requested by management.
  • Execute comprehensive shift handovers at the beginning and end of each shift.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Operational experience gained through shift working in a continuous process industry, preferably within the power generation or defence sectors
  • Exposure to working in demanding and dynamic work environments which demand calm and logical decision making.
  • Knowledge of environmental permits, H&S issues, safe working environments, safety rules and outages.
