As Plant Manager, you will lead our client's recycling facility. Ultimately responsible for overseeing the plant process which includes dismantling, segregation, and repurposing parts.

The role requires operational efficiency along with safety, health, and environmental compliance. You will play a crucial role in driving efficiencies, implementation of, and monitoring KPIs, presenting performance reports to the board, and managing staff to achieve productivity targets.

As Plant Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Daily operations of the plant, maximising production, handling challenges by resolving with best practice.
  • Management of procedure and processes to optimise operational efficiencies.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Engaging in future planning activities, considering industry trends and advancements.
  • Working with the HSEQ Manager, ensuring the facilities and staff adhere to safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Implementing and monitoring safe standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Conducting regular reviews and audits, monitoring compliance and create reports to drive improvement.
  • Lead from the front and manage the facility team by providing guidance and support.
  • Oversee shift schedules to ensure optimal staffing levels.
  • Oversee the maintenance and proper functioning of all equipment and plant.
  • Conduct regular reviews and inspections of the facility's infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.

What are we looking for?

  • Proven experience in an Operations Management role, preferably within a recycling or similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
