Establish the overall vision and direction for the implementation of plant administration including quality and health and safety.Monitor plant performance against goals and KPI’s to ensure that progress is being made and corrective actions are taken if necessary.Responsible for appropriate staff levels to meet requirements of the facility.Responsible for recruitment, hiring, terminations and performance management.Manage the morale in the facility by setting and demonstrating a strong business ethic for dealing with employees, suppliers and customers.Enhance and develop policies, procedures and service systems to meet goals of the facility.Collaborate with sales on scheduling production of goods.Ensuring products are being manufactured as per AIL’s QA.Review and approve plans for control of planned output, budget spending, material efficiency, engineering effectiveness and human resources.Budget preparation and monitoring P&L to ensure expense controlMonitor financial performance to ensure the facility is meeting or exceeding budgetary commitment.Manage customer questions and concerns related to product assembly that are escalated from the sales department in a professional and efficient manner to meet customers needs and timelinesUpdate Work Orders with appropriate information to provide information more quickly and easily to customers.Measure and monitor key production and customer service areas.Proactively plan production goals.Examine reports (e.g. inventory, production and daily reports) to determine the operational activities of the company and ensure optimum performance.Ensure all reporting employees adhere to company policies and procedures.Perform other duties as required.Qualifications:Post-secondary diploma or degree in a business or technical field.P. Eng and/or CET designation would be considered an asset.ERP /Visual experience would be considered an asset.Heavy steel manufacturing including roll forming experience would be considered an asset.5+ years of previous management experience with proven leadership abilities.A clear and solid understanding of personnel policies, practices, procedures and other operational issues faced by the organization.Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.High level of integrity, confidentiality and accountability.Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization and execution skills.A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution and people management skills.Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles would be an asset.An inquisitive mind that believes in continuous improvement as well as innovation in a team environment
