Plant Manager - Chemical ManufacturingCorbyDays£70,000We are looking for a motivated Plant Manager to join a market leading manufacturer in their respective field. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director you will be a key member in developing the team and assisting with the smooth running of a state of the art facility.The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of excellent management skills and experience coordinating a range of different issues within a busy operational environment. The position will appeal to a strong Plant Manager looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.The candidate will also be able to demonstrate a motivating management style, be able to make tough decisions and be a natural when it comes to problem solving and be ambitious with a real can-do attitude. You will be a positive and dynamic individual that will drive a positive, inclusive culture and ethos at this brand-new site. Capable of learning and moulding a new team the candidate must be highly motivated, driven and resilient.Job Description:Manufacture and develop chemical processesConduct research to develop new and improved chemical manufacturing processesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise production processes and improve efficiencyTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to chemical processes and equipmentDevelop and implement safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with regulationsMonitor production processes, analyse data, and make recommendations for process improvementsProvide technical support and guidance to production teamsPrepare reports, presentations, and documentation related to process design and developmentDirect and oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production scheduling, process optimisation, and inventory management.Oversee quality control procedures to ensure that products meet or exceed customer specifications.Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and address any quality issues promptly.Implement corrective and preventive actions to continuously improve product quality.Team Leadership and Development:Provide leadership and direction to plant personnel, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.Recruit, train, and develop employees to enhance their skills and capabilities.
