Plant Maintenance Engineer

Wentworth James are assisting a long standing client assisting them in their search to recruit a�Mobile/Workshop Plant Engineer�to join their rapidly growing team. This is a permanent, full time position based in he East Midlands�where you will be required to work both at our depot and on site at various locations. You will carry out daily maintenance on a fleet of heavy plant working on a range of equipment i.e. excavators (Hitachi, Bobcat, Sany, Cat & Volvo), dumpers, telehandlers, generators, ped rollers, welfares, etc.

ROLE: Plant maintenance engineer

LOCATION: Mobile Role covering East Midlands

SALARY: Dependant upon Experience

This is a full-time role where you will be responsible for : -

• Performing maintenance (inspections/servicing) and repairs on mobile plant equipment


• Toubleshooting and diagnosing faults and ensuring equipment is in optimal working condition


• Completing paperwork following maintenance activities.


• Working as part of a team or individually.


• Problem solving, confident in identifying parts required and rectifying faults.


• Inspecting plant items to ensure that high standards are maintained for customers and that they are ready to re-hire.


• Attending breakdowns on customer sites (various locations).

Requirements for this role

• Valid driver's license


• NVQ level 2 or 3 plant maintenance.


• Powered Access experience.


• CAP qualification preferable.




• Previous experience as a Workshop / Mobile Plant Engineer


• Strong mechanical and technical skills


• Knowledge of plant hire equipment


• Ability to diagnose and repair faults


• Excellent problem-solving abilities


• Good communication with attention to detail and strong organisational skills
