We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Plant Hire Mangerwho has a strong engineering background and experience managing and maintaining heavy plant machinery.
Working as the Plant Hire Manger you will join a company that provides a comprehensive range of plant equipment to water and civil engineering companies across the UK and Ireland.
As the Plant Hire Manger you will need a strong background in the management and maintenance of heavy plant machinery and experience operating at a similar level.

DUTIES
Your duties as the Plant Hire Manger include:
Ensure equipment capability is maintained including administration for calibration records including booking calibration and plant examinations
Act as first point of contact for all internal and external hire requests from planning, lead miners and contracts managers
Replace any items on site if stock becomes available in the yard
Producing weekly on-hire reports for internal and external hires
Placing orders and keeping internal hire records up to date
Continuously improve the quality of products to meet the set standards and customers requirements
Accountability for the safety, leadership, and financial performance of the operation of all plant. Lead in all aspects of safety to ensure the safe operation of the yard
Ensure all plant has trackers fitted
Oversee all the operational activities of the plant
Controlling expenditure and managing budgets
Preparing production and performance reports for senior management
Developing and implementing a comprehensive maintenance program for the plant Including, service and maintenance on all plant
Maintaining all administrative records
Maintaining inventory levels and controlling the flow of product
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Strong engineering background
Strong background in the management and maintenance of heavy plant machinery
Knowledge of Verizon system ideal
Good IT skills
Experience operating in a similar role at a similar level
Ability to communicate and influence confidently across different departments
Results driven, capable of prioritising, and strong management skills
