PPG employees are at the centre of their efforts to create brighter and more colourful communities wherever they operate, providing meaningful contributions in local communities.PPG are based in Wakefield.Job DescriptionThe Plant Financial Controller will be responsible for the following:Prepare month end financial management reporting for UK areas.Support the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes with accompanying analysis.Be the main point of contact for all financial issues regarding plant manufacturing / logistics.Become an integral member of the Manufacturing site leadership team.Provide support and guidance on all business finance issues to senior business leaders.Investigate and resolve significant financial variances generated with budget holders.Completing balance sheet reconciliations.Identify improvements to standard finance processes and help to improve these as part of a major transformation project.Oversee the day to day management of 1 assistant accountant.The Successful ApplicantThe Plant Financial Controller will have the following:Qualified accountant - ACA/ACCA/CIMA or QBEExperience in a fast paced manufacturing and production/supply chain environmentGood attention to detail, analytical skills and sufficient interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with senior management.Strong SAP and Excel skills ideally but not essentialWhat's on OfferExcellent salary package including basic salary + strong benefits package.
