Whitakers Garden Centre are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Plant Department Manager.As a Plant Department Manager you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring that our plants are healthy and our customers are satisfied.Oversee and manage the care and maintenance of plants within the department, ensuring proper watering, fertilising, pruning and repotting procedures are followedTake charge of inventory management, overseeing the receiving and stocking of plants and supplies to meet customer demandProvide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and offering expert adviceMaintain a high standard of cleanliness and organisation within the plant department to create an appealing and inviting shopping environmentMonitor and analyse sales trends to optimise inventory levelsImplement strategies to enhance the visual presentation of plants, creating attractive displays to drive salesThe Ideal Candidate.Proven experience in a plant nursery or related field with a strong background in plant care and maintenanceIn depth knowledge of various plant species, their characteristics and optimal care practisesExceptional customer service and communication skillsStrong leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a teamPassion for horticulture and a commitment to staying informed about industry trends and advancementsWhat to expect from our application process.We know recruitment can be daunting, stepping into the unknown, and we want to make this as smooth as possible for you.
