Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Planning Validation Officer based in Telford on a contract basis.
The Job:

• Answer correspondence coming into the service via phone and email, offering complex technical advice for applicants, internal and external customers.
• Assess and register planning applications, managing compliance compliance, working and assessing statutory planning fee legislation and national/local requirements, assessing planning permission is required.
• Manage and administrate Planning appeals and Public Inquiries, including venue bookings and compliance with health and safety standards.
• Identify and address reports of priority services related to dangerous structures and planning enforcement matters.
• Assist with reports, KPIs and similar.

The Candidate:

• NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent qualifications/experience.
• Previous experience in Planning and Validation or similar roles.
• Experience within a Local Authority environment is beneficial.
