Planning Manager (Food Manufacturing)

A leading FMCG Food Manufacturer are currently seeking a Senior Supply Chain Planning Manager to join the business to oversee the planning and execution of supply chain processes.
This Planning Manager will require a thorough understanding of FMCG supply chain requirements, including optimising inventory levels, streamlining production processes, and ensuring adherence to critical production timelines
Advanced MRP / Excel IT skills will be required for this position and ideally someone who has implemented a new planning system i.e. Microsoft Business / Microsoft Navigation MRP systems.
Senior Supply Chain Planning Manager responsibilities include:
Produce and collate forecasts.
Create and implement procurement, production and logistics plans.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and heads of departments.
Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability while optimising inventory
levels.
Utilise Business Central to optimise production capacity, minimise lead times, and improve
overall supply chain efficiency.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, reduce waste, and
enhance overall operational effectiveness.
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the planning team, fostering a culture of
collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
Collaborate with purchasing department and manage day to day supplier relationships for
the robust delivery of the plan.
Flexibility and agility are ensured within the plan's framework, adapting to changing
forecasts.
Highlighting risks and opportunities within inventory levels.
Provide secondary support to other planning or logistics functions at peak times.
This Planning Manager will require advanced Excel / MRP system Numerical and IT skills and analytical skills and the ability to interpret data as well as a commercial mind set. The role will require flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions, internal dynamics, adjusting planning strategy and tactics as needed
