This firm specialises in providing top-tier legal advice across a range of complex planning and environmental matters, serving a diverse clientele from large developers to local authorities. As part of our commitment to fostering legal excellence, we are seeking an exceptional candidate to join this specialist team.About the Role:The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of planning and ESG matters, including but not limited to: Providing expert counsel on development consents, enforcement issues, and environmental impacts. Advising on complex regeneration, heritage and BNG (Biodiversity net gain) projects. Advising on planning applications and appeals. Navigating the intricacies of local and national planning policies and legislation. Representing clients in planning inquiries and judicial reviews. Key Responsibilities: Delivering strategic planning advice to clients on a wide range of environmental and development projects. Drafting and negotiating planning agreements and supporting legal documents. Engaging with stakeholders, including local planning authorities, developers, and community groups. Required Experience: Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales or Foreign Qualified with a strong academic background. Proven experience in planning and environmental law, gained within a reputable law firm or in-house team. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. A passion for planning and environmental law, with a keen interest in contributing to impactful projects. Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Committed to professional development and staying abreast of changes in planning legislation and practice.
