Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Town Planning Director to lead an expanding team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of town planning projects, providing strategic direction, and managing a talented team of professionals. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects across various sectors, including agriculture, residential, retail, energy and waste, and infrastructure.
 
Key Responsibilities:
·Lead and manage the town planning team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure project success and team development.
·Develop and implement strategic plans to deliver high-quality town planning services, meeting client objectives and regulatory requirements.
·Act as a key point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies, fostering strong relationships and promoting the consultancy's reputation for excellence.
·Provide expert advice and guidance on complex town planning issues, offering innovative solutions and driving project delivery forward.
·Collaborate with other disciplines within the consultancy to deliver integrated solutions that address client needs and project challenges.
·Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes, ensuring the consultancy remains at the forefront of town planning innovation.
 
Requirements:
·Degree in Town Planning or related field; Chartered Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) preferred.
·Significant experience in town planning, including a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects across multiple sectors.
·Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team of professionals.
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members at all levels.
·Sound knowledge of town planning legislation, regulations, and procedures in the UK.
·Proven ability to think strategically, solve problems, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
·Commitment to delivering high-quality work, meeting deadlines, and exceeding client expectations.
·Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
