Elevate is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Planning & Environment Lawyer/Senior Associate
Elevate is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Planning & Environment Lawyer/Senior Associate to join our team for an interim 6 to 12 months contract position starting asap. You will play a key role in providing legal advice on various planning and environmental matters, including applications, impact assessments, agreements, appeals, enforcement, listed building consents, and compulsory purchases. The role also involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents, as well as advising on real estate, corporate, and financing transactions. Managing planning appeals, providing legal advice on strategy, instructing counsel, and reviewing documents. Staying updated with changes in planning and environmental laws, providing proactive advice to clients, and mentoring junior associates in the team.
Experience:
A qualified solicitor holding a practicing certificate for England & Wales.
Minimum 5/6PQE in planning and environmental law preferably within a leading law firm.
Excellent understanding of English planning system and environmental regulations.
Planning appeal and inquiry experience.
Strong drafting skills with attention to detail.
Excellent client care skills with an ability to handle matters independently.
Exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal.
Ability to manage multiple priorities/deadlines effectively.
