PLANNER – DORSET & SOMERSET

We are currently seeking to recruit a Project Planner with experience of NEC suite of contracts, to manage the planning of various wastewater projects within the Wessex Water Framework. The role is split between live sites in Dorset & Somerset, our Head Office in Southampton and home.

Trant is undertaking the M&E element of the projects, and the form of contract is NEC Option C, heavily amended.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

* Working closely with the Planning Manager

* Working with the operational & commercial teams to produce on going schedule update & performance reports

* Maintaining work sequence and activity durations for assigned projects

* Attending programme & progress meetings with Client

* Being familiar with Earned Value, Resourcing & progressing techniques

* Preparation of Project Changes, Budget allocations

* Managing schedule changes due to scope/client change requests

* Compensation Events & Time Entitlement Assessments

Requirements:

The Planner will need to have a working knowledge of MS project and knowledge of working on NEC contracts. You should be able to maintain work sequence and activity durations for assigned projects and be able to provide schedule knowledge on a continuous basis to assist in work planning and interfacing with others. It is essential that you possess good written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to develop and maintain relationships. You must also have excellent time management & organisational skills. Having a background of working on M&E or construction projects is essential.

Qualifications/Skills:

HNC/HND/BSc in Engineering or by experience

Familiar with NEC contracts

Proficient in MS Project
