This will be part of a team working with some exciting clients to create outstanding commercial office space across Central London, involving Cat B fit out's and full refurbishments.You will provide a timely, effective and professional planning services for proposals and project delivery within the fit-out division. To continue to promote the purpose of good planning to internal and external customers and contribute to the effective running of the department. Provide programme input or feasibility studies to clients on a consultancy basis. To act as a mentor to junior members of the department.Key accountabilitiesIntegration into project teamsLiaise with clients and external planning consultantsProvide planning services to projects and proposalsLead programme meetings whether internally or presenting to ClientsSet up end to end programmes from appointment to commissioning and close out.Set up and manage auditable trails of programmesCollate & validate project progress and report to the Divisional DirectorContribute to the efficient way the department is run by feeding lessons learnt and innovation back into the department.Understand what makes each project tick and establish programmes around key milestonesCritical Path analysisIdentify and manage project riskAbility to contribute to problem solvingReact to client change with big picture thinkingAbility to produce detailed programmes and options quickly as required by clientsAbility to advise clients on last possible moment decision milestonesDevelop relationships with internal teams, consultants, clients and suppliers.Train non planners in planning principles, techniques and software.Skills & experienceExcellent fit out construction knowledge in terms of architectural construction detail and the installation and commissioning sequences of M&E services Able to demonstrate these through sound programming and sequencing on a range of projects & proposals through various planning techniques and software.Proven understanding of planning & rescheduling techniquesProven understanding of the full project cycle and any relative constraints.Proven understanding of M&E infrastructure.Proven understanding of different forms of procurementStrategic and big picture thinkerSoftware operations relevant to job role [Asta Powerproject, MS Project]Experience of being involved in the planning & proposals process within the fit-out industry.Presentation skillsPlanning experience in a range of business sectors including trading, retail, leisure, corporate and media.Ability to react quickly to project pace and change, be able to make valid assumptions, challenge design, be able to work alone from information and have confidence and the ability to back up the programmesAbility to prepare and deliver programming and planning in accordance with the guidelines set down by the Society of Construction Law, Delay and Disruption Protocol.
