About The RoleMorrison Energy Servicesis currently looking to recruit aPlannerto work on ourTransmission Networks Divisionin Scotland.As aPlanneryou will be part of ourplanning department who are responsibleforproducing robust and detailed programmes for all works associated with the design, procurement and construction phases of the projects. Also, a key part of the role will liaising with the Project/Construction Manager and Site Engineers to ensure that the programme keeps abreast of any changes.As a Planneryour duties & responsibilities willbe:Build, optimise and implement construction planning and programmes (including resources, outages, consents and wayleaves) in conjunction with interested parties to deliver the workWhen necessary, produce detailed trackers to be used to collect and report progress made on a weekly basisWork with the Head of Commercial and the planning team to develop a planning culture throughout the business units and projectsWith other members of the team deliver full integration of the company's cost management system to help deliver automatic CPI/SPI reports together with robust processes and disciplinesChampion programme management policies, procedures and the standards required to deliver projectsParticipate in project handover meetings involving the Bid team, Project Manager and Q.SWork closely with the Project Manager and Project Q.S. to maximise the potential of each project, attend site meetings when necessaryProvide planning input at tender stageRepresent the business at client meetings and ensure deadlines are achieved (KPI requirements)Gather benchmarking information to aid the value for money assessment on each projectIn conjunction with the risk management and value engineer produce and manage the risk, issue and opportunity register for assigned projects within the change managementKeep abreast of current and new planning techniques, technologies and initiatives which may have a benefit for the businessMaintain ongoing development and delivery of a co-ordinated change agenda for business improvementWork cohesively with the commercial and financial members of the Planning and Systems teamMonitor and control programme compliance in respect of our contractual obligationsIn conjunction with other members of the team, take responsibility for meeting agreed business and project targets, control costs in achieving to achieve targets, managing risks effectively and delivering all agreed outputs, within the agreed economics and safety regulatory frameworkContributing to the identification and formulation of strategic objectivesHybrid working with 2/3 days on sitesSkills & Knowledge RequirementsFull UK driving licenceCompetent in the following planning software: Primavera P6 & Microsoft ProjectExperience of earned value management and NEC contracts.Change management process.Experience of working in the energy sector advantageous.What's in it for you?25 days' annual leave plus 8 days' bank holidayPension schemeLife AssurancePrivate health careCompany car and fuel cardAbout The CompanyM Group Services delivers a range of essential infrastructure services within the water, energy, transport and telecommunications sectors in the UK & Ireland.
