Role: Placements Sufficiency & Capacity Lead - Childrens Services

Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for a Placements Sufficiency & Capacity Lead for our Public Sector client.

Key responsibilities for the Placements Sufficiency & Capacity Lead are:

Lead implementation and management of the Section 75 agreement with BLMK and all assessment and monitoring to fulfil the strategic vision for transformation and planned efficiencies throughout Childrens Services and the ICB.
Take ownership of the Sufficiency Strategy priorities and plan with Childrens Services leads to drive change and enhance outcomes for Bedford Borough children and young people through in-house and externally commissioned services.
Develop plans, activities, and supporting materials to meet the strategies' goals, including communications, training, briefing notes, and programme and financial report sections, with a focus on change.
Keep all parties connected to ensure stakeholder buy-in and drive change through collaboration.

The Ideal candidate for the Placements Sufficiency & Capacity Lead will have:

Local authority and/or ICB Children's Services Head of Service+ bringing similar developments, especially in shared care agreement negotiation, implementation, and management.
Experience implementing Sufficiency Strategy and placements pipeline for Looked After Children, including insourcing and provider market management under 'Stable Homes Built on Love' reforms.
Strong team player with a 'can do' attitude, practical problem-solving, and willingness to help.
Knows local authority yearly budgeting establishing and monitoring processes, best practices, and related legislation.
Project management skills to organise and supervise operations to deliver a larger programme.
Excellent communicator with good writing and numeracy skills, including the use of Microsoft Excel and experience of developing and presenting reports to senior boards.
Ability to work to tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
