The completion of the deal saw Company of Cooks become the group’s go-to operators in heritage and performance venues, art galleries and destinations.We are excited to be recruiting for an experienced Sous Chef for our new pizza operation at London’s iconic Southbank Centre – Europe’s largest arts complex. Home to hundreds of performances, events and exhibitions each year, and incorporating some of London’s best known seasonal outdoor bars, Company of Cooks manages a total of 14 different retail outlets on site, from speciality coffee shops to rooftop cocktail bars and late-night live music venues as well as overseeing a thriving events catering business.We are about to embark on an ambitious multi-million-pound refurbishment programme ahead of the 75th Anniversary of the opening of Royal Festival Hall. In April 2024 we will be launching a brand-new pizza concept overlooking the Southbank Centre’s Riverside Terrace. We are excited to be recruiting for an experienced and passionate pizza expert to lead this project through to opening and beyond, building a brilliant team, developing and refining the product with our culinary team, and delivering a consistent, great quality food offer to an incredibly diverse and ever-changing audience in one of London’s most iconic public buildings. With lots planned for 2024 this is a position that offers growth and progression for the right person with lots of autonomy to shape this new brand and concept while also benefitting from the support of an onsite team of over 100 people.Key Responsibilities:• You'll be showcasing your wonderful pizza-making skills• Contribute to building a brand and develop a delicious fresh food offering• Deputise in absence of the head chef• Adhering to exceptionally high standards - including cleanliness• Making, stretching and baking dough in a fast-paced environment- Collaborating with a large onsite team to fully understand packed calendar of concerts and events and ensure your business is fully prepared at all timesOur Ideal Candidate will:• Have experience of working in a team of up to 7 chefs• Be passionate about heading up a brand-new pizza concept in one of London’s busiest public buildings• Be capable of maintaining high health & safety and hygiene standards• Have the ability to clearly communicate and lead a team• Possess a hands-on attitude• Enjoy working in a busy, fast paced but fun and friendly environmentWhat's in it for you?Working with Company of Cooks has its perks!
