Job Title: Pharmaceutical Generic Buyer



Location: Kent / Hybrid - 2�days�onsite�



Job Description:



Our client is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pharmaceutical Generic Buyer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing generic pharmaceutical products for our wholesale distribution activities. This role requires strong negotiation skills, market knowledge, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.





Responsibilities:



Source and purchase generic pharmaceutical products from approved suppliers.



Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms.



Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory changes affecting generic pharmaceutical products.



Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, inventory management, and regulatory compliance, to ensure timely and efficient procurement of products.



Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information.



Resolve any issues or discrepancies with orders, deliveries, or invoices.



Evaluate supplier performance and develop strategies to optimize supplier relationships.



Stay informed about industry developments, new product launches, and emerging trends in generic pharmaceuticals.





Requirements:



Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.



years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.



Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.



Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.



Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with procurement software or systems.



Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.



Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards for pharmaceutical products.



Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
