Personal Tax Senior - London (flexible working) - Top Accountancy PracticeMy client's Private Client Tax department is looking for a Tax Senior to join their exciting and growing team.They are looking for someone to manage a varied personal client tax portfolio dealing with all routine personal tax compliance and ad hoc advisory work. The role requires you to take ownership of the day to day running of a personal client portfolio under the guidance of a Manager.A candidate with at least three years personal tax experience and a track record of portfolio management is preferred.Key responsibilities:* Managing a Private Client portfolio, consisting of a mix of clients with multiple sources of earned and investment income.* A key point of contact for the client.* Dealing with partnerships and high net worth individuals.* Dealing with a range of capital gains tax issues.* Assisting with or dealing with the delivery of technical advisory work on the portfolio.* Assisting with one off advisory and compliance assignments.* Assisting at client meetings.* Dealing with new client set up procedures, letters of engagement and client ID procedures.* Proposing and raising client bills and reviewing WIP.Skills & expertise:Technical expertise:* ATT Qualified and ideally studying (or willing to study) for CTA.* Experience with preparation of Self-Assessment tax returns and preparation of tax computations.* Experience of basic ad hoc tax advisory work.* Advising with regards to EIS and SEIS.* Knowledge of UK residency and domicile rules preferred.* Uses tax legislation and other resources to support or research issues encountered on client work.Client experience:* Private clients and proprietors of Owner Managed Businesses (Partnerships, self employed individuals and their personal companies).* NonUK Domiciled and non UK resident clients.* UK based High Net Worth Individuals.* UK rental property owning clients.Enterprise:* Actively and consistently seeks out opportunities for work and feedback for areas of improvement.* Aware of the relationship between chargeable hours, fees and profits, and monitors own contribution.Business Building:* Proactively approaches clients and contacts with ideas and possible opportunities.Delivery:* Takes responsibility for delivery of client assignments to a high standard.* Actively engages with clients through the service delivery process.* Is able to take responsibility for their own workload and work with the managers to assist with completion.Interpersonal skills:* Excellent communication skills written,verbal and presentation.* Engages confidently with clients in a friendly and professional manner.* A good team player recognising team objectives and goals and assisting others as required.* Provides suggestions and ideas to try and improve operational issues.To discuss this fantastic opportunity please contact Maisie Horrell on 07855746366 or email ##### an employer, we are committed to ensuring the representation of people from all backgrounds regardless of their gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, race, religion, ethnicity, age, neurodiversity, disability status, or any other aspect which makes them unique.
