Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Stamford, LincolnshireAre you a qualified and RCVS registered veterinary surgeon or soon to be?Do you want to move into an independent practice?Are you comfortable with routine surgeries and consultations?We are working with an independent practice in Stamford, Lincolnshire who are recruiting a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.This role is full time for 43.75 hours per week, along with 1 in 4 Saturdays with an inpatient check on the Sunday morning after the Saturday shift. There will be a nurse who sleeps in the practice over the weekend to look after inpatients but also a 1 in 4 weeknight inpatient cover shift, mainly providing phone advice to the nurse staying in the practice.This role would suit a veterinary surgeon with good small animal experience and someone who is comfortable in routine surgeries and consultations including bitch spays and dog castrates.This is an established independent practice who are passionate about providing a high standard of veterinary care and ensure that each patient is treated as if it was their own. It is in a beautiful market town with many attractions in the surrounding area.There are no strict targets, and the role offers a clinical freedom environment whilst working within a supportive team along with a lovely client base.The practice boast stated of the art facilities including in-house IDEXX analysers, endoscope, digital x-ray, operating microscope, prep area, dental suit, theatre along, ultrasound and an in-house pharmacy.They have a large supportive nursing team who are always on hand to assist the Vets. The practice prides itself on having a strong focus on pain prevention and management and offer Acupuncture clinics to patients along with individual tailored anaesthesia. They have a visiting orthopaedic Vet who performs procedures in house which enable continuity of patient care. They also have a good relationship with a local animal charity.Who are they looking for:The practice are open to various levels of experiene and have welcomed over the years new graduates. It would be advantageous to have a consulting or internal medicine bias along with a high level of competency in routine surgeries.
