Permanent Head Veterinary Nurse - Old Kent Road, LondonAre you a qualified and RCVS registered veterinary nurse?Are you looking to step into a leadership role?Are you looking for...A role with no OOH?A better work-life balance?We are recruiting a Permanent Head Veterinary Nurse to join a small animal practice in Old Kent Road, South London. This role is full time with 1 in 4 Saturdays from 9am to 6pm and Sundays from 11am to 5pm. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.The HVN will be joining a team of 4.5 vets, 3 RVNs and 2 SVNs. The role will involve assisting with the day to day running of the practice and ensuring a high standard of care is provided to both patients and clients. The HVN will also perform a clinical role within the practice and lead by example. This is an excellent opportunity for a Nurse who is looking to take a step up in their career and move into a leadership role.Duties include:Schedule three procedures and treatmentsAssisting the vets in theatre and providing post-op careIn patient careHR duties and policiesDispensing drugsDealing with client queriesNurse consultationsWorking closely with the lead vet and branch partner to ensure the smooth day to day running of the practiceProvide mentoring to less experienced team membersThey are looking for a confident nurse who has a genuine passion for animal welfare. They must be able to work well with others and have excellent customer service skills.The practice are dedicated to providing a high standard of clinical and patient care so it is important that the nurse shares this ethos and actively promotes this.
