We currently have an exciting and rewarding opportunity available for an experienced *HousingSupport Worker* to join our teams in *Cardiff *and *the Vale of Glamorgan*.

This unique peripatetic role has been created to provide flexible support and cover for both our static young persons project based in Cardiff and our floating housing support project in the Vale of Glamorgan.
The successful candidate will be required to cover both planned and unplanned cover for both projects. Shift patterns for floating support are Monday-to-Friday 09:00 - 17:00 and 12 hour shifts 08:00 - 20:00 at our young persons project. Shift patterns covering planned absence will be on a four weekly rota.
Experience of providing support in line with housing support grant outcomes is desirable, along with the ability to pick up an active case load to ensure a seamless delivery of support for our customers.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting both young people 16 years to 21 years living in supported accommodation, and those of other ages in the community, to build the resilience and confidence needed to manage and sustain their tenancy and live independently.

*What you'll do*
This is a challenging, demanding, but rewarding role for the right person. You will be supporting young people who may have complex support issues, can challenge services. You will be supporting Young People who may experienced or be affected by ACE's, Trauma, PTSD or has faced other difficulties within their short lives. You will be expected to work within a physiologically informed environmental framework, working in a trauma informed way. Supporting young persons with their agreed person centered support plan goals in regard to education, employment, budgeting, with practical necessary skills and knowledge. Building resilience to confidently allow young person to go forward is key to supporting to achieve their outcome and manage a tenancy independently.
*What you'll need*
To be successful in this role you will have experience of supporting individuals with varying complex support needs. You will need excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to and build supportive relationships. Experience of working in working in a psychologically/trauma informed way, experience of supporting people affected by ACE's and people with mental health issues would be advantageous within this role.

A qualification in Social Care or related discipline is desirable but not essential.
