A unique opportunity has arisen to work within Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust as a Perinatal Family Hub Mental Health Practitioner. If you require further information on this post please contact: Lucy Pearce: ##### or Sara Brewin: ##### duties of the jobThe Recovery College Mental Health Practitioner will co-facilitate educational courses around Perinatal mental health wellbeing and recovery themes identified across the communities in Lincolnshire. They will take a lead role in the co-production of these Perinatal specific courses, identify and work with experts by experience (lived experience) and experts by expertise (healthcare / clinical). They will support the Recovery College team to develop these new courses, which will be delivered within the Family Hub's, initially beginning within the Lincoln area. They will play an active role linking in with the family Hubs and managing these referrals and will support the current Family Hub specific Senior Peer Support Worker, 2x Peer Support Workers and Peer Trainer. The post holder will also be the key link between the Recovery College and LPFT's Perinatal team to ensure that the courses and support provided is tailored to the Perinatal aspect. Job descriptionJob responsibilitiesBring unique expertise and knowledge of the health and social care sector and evidence based health interventions into course design and delivery. Support students with Perinatal mental health needs via an educational platform and signpost them to specialist health/social care services using their clinical health knowledge and expertise. Provide supervision within the College and ensure the College expands its delivery across Lincolnshire. Develop and review Recovery College courses in collaboration with team members, students and volunteers as part of ongoing review and quality assurance processes. Aim to improve students mental health conditions and enable them to understand, manage and where appropriate change behaviours Source expert health professionals / experts by experience to be involved with the coproduction of the college curriculum Adhere to HCPC/ NMC code of professional conduct and ethics, plus associated legislation. Champion and offer student opportunities within the College in order to meet CPD standards Provide management supervision/appraisals for junior staff for example: Peer Support Workers and Peer trainers as required Support the team as needed, including wellness at work plans, check-ins Promotional events and presentations internal and external to LPFT Where required, initial triage of referral, risk assessment, clinical record keeping and signposting to services within and external to LPFT. You may occasionally be asked to undertake such other duties that are deemed necessary in order to support business continuity within the Trust. This will only include tasks where you are appropriately trained.Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential
RMN/ RNLD/Social Worker/Occupational Therapist with current registration Or: Educated to degree level in mental health/social care or another relevant subject or equivalent experience within the mental health field of working
Desirable
Teaching or training qualification of level 3 or above (or be committed to complete the qualification within 3 months of appointment).
ExperienceEssential
Evidence of continued professional development from current profession or within training. Experience of working with people who experience emotional wellbeing and mental health challenges. A sound understanding of adult learning principles and theories.
Desirable
Own lived experience of Perinatal or mental health challenges A proven track record of developing and delivering educational programmes using group work Substantial experience of using evidence-based practice. Experience of working within Mental Health and triaging referrals
Special RequirementsEssential
The post holder will be required to travel independently within and external to Lincolnshire, without the use of public transport.
